Thermoplastic elastomers (TPES) are subdivided into three classes: block copolymers (SBS, SEBS, SIS, etc.), polyolefin mixtures (PE, PP, PA) /rubber (EPDM, NR, SBR) and vulcanised thermoplastics (TPVs) where the dynamically vulcanised rubber phase is dispersed in the form of microdomains in the thermoplastic phase. This material has the best of both worlds: ability to be processed and reprocessed in equipment for thermoplastics and with the flexibility and environmental resistance of elastomers. There are as many families as thermoplastics and elastomers exist which gives them an advantage of being customized according to need.
